Master Chief Lewis enlisted in the Navy in May 1988, after her completion of basic training she attended Radioman "A" school in San Diego, California.
Her follow-on assignments include: Naval Telecommunication Center (NTCC) Hampton Roads, Norfolk, VA.; Naval Computer and Telecommunication Station (NCTS) Sigonella, Sicily; NCTS Diego Garcia; Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, IL.; USS COMSTOCK (LSD 45), San Diego, CA; Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes IL; Commander Carrier Strike Group SEVEN (CCSG7) San Diego, CA embarked onboard USS JOHN C. STENNIS (CVN 74).; and USS BOXER (LHD 4), San Diego, CA.
Master Chief Lewis entered the Command Master Chief program in 2006. Her tours include: Strike Fighter Squadron FORTY-ONE (VFA-41) Lemoore, CA, embarked onboard the USS NIMITZ (CVN 68).; Base Command Group, Al Asad, Iraq; Navy Recruiting District Raleigh, NC; Air Test and Evaluation Squadron ONE (VX-1), Patuxent River, MD; and presently Naval Air Station Pensacola, FL
Master Chief Lewis holds a Master Degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from Naval War College, Newport, RI and a Bachelor Degree in Marketing from Xavier University of Louisiana. In addition, she attended Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer Academy, Montgomery, AL; Command Master Chief Capstone Course in Newport, RI; and National Defense University’s Keystone Senior Enlisted course, Chesapeake, VA.
Her personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5), Army Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2), and various unit and campaign awards.
